A blue dachshund may not be very common but it costs the same as most other dachshunds. Depending on the breeders, the average price range falls between $400 to $1100. However, it can be as high as $1500 for high pedigree doxies. You can also get one for as low as $100 or even free if you go the rescue adoption route.
They are typically bi-color — blue and tan or blue and cream — while solid blues are slightly less common. Although the American Kennel Club’s Official Dachshund Standard does recognize blue long-haired varieties, this hue usually appears in smooth-haired Doxies.
While these Dachshunds are considered “blue”, they are a shade of gray with a bluish hue. Since they are a dilution of the black and tan coloring, they can be blue with patches of dulled tan or all blue. They never have black in their color patterns.
